Genshiro Sunagawa hosted the 3rd Torpor & Hibernation Meeting at Kobe, July 20 and 21, 2019. In japan, this meeting is the only meeting where hibernation and torpor researchers gather. Every presentation was exciting. Koukyou and Genshiro have presented their latest results. The guest speaker Atushi Kuhara from Konan University gave us an intellectually stimulating presentation. He is a specialist of molecular and physiological mechanisms of temperature response of C. elegans. I felt that there are a lot of things we can learn from non-mammals about thermoregulatory physiology. Next year is the once-in-a-forth year of the International Hibernation Symposium. Because of that, we have not decided yet whether to hold the 4th THM in Japan. We might plan it after IHS, with some presentation from folks who attended the IHS.  (Genshiro)
